Adventurers
I haven't posted in, like, f-o-r-e-v-e-r but this weekend we went to Fainter Falls, and checked out Clover Dam overflowing. It was a pretty fun weekend all 'round. Climbing over fences in the dark is tricky but worthwhile. Brooke is my favourite, look at that cutie. And can we take a minute to look at the face I'm pulling in that photo? What do I think I'm doin'? Certainly not attracting young males. Getcha' head in the game.

I've been everywhere, man.
Not literally though. I've been all over the place this week, 'metaphorically.' Although I have traveled a bit. I'm stuck in a tricky place.
I love my plant hanger, thanks mum & dad.

Let it snow
It snowed really low down last night, so we went over to the Bright Gap to check it out today. Even though I live 45 minutes away from the snow, this was the first time I'd seen it this winter. I'd nearly forgotten how cold it gets.

#famf
So if you're interested, I've started hashtagging my instagram photos as #famf. I did a little search on it before and some other kids use #famf and I'm slightly concerned it has a hidden meaning. In fact I'll google it right now. Well. Turns out famf stands for 'fat ass mo'fo'. That's kind of funny. I like it. Check it out - you'll be able to tell if it's my post or not anyway.
Garden Stalking
I like the idea of guerrilla gardening. It just seems so fun and cute, and really, everyone wants to have more pretty flowers and plants, don't they? Can I get a hell yeah? The weather today has been lovely. It's sunny and gorgeous but air is sorta chilly. I was a tad cheeky and crept over to my neighbor's garden today to take a few photos - they're away on holidays. It's such a pretty garden, and so big too. There's even a cute little fairy garden and they've recently built a walk in greenhouse, you could say I'm a little jealous. Although, my house has a beautiful garden - thanks mum - and I have plants all through my bedroom. I've yet to discover the trick for growing indoor plants, mine always seem to die or just stop growing. I've got a feeling it's because I only have one small window in my room. Or maybe I'm choosing the wrong sorts of plants? I'm not sure. If there's one thing you must know about me. it's that I love love love plants.

The sum of my day
Organised chaos |
You know what I've always looked forward to? Growing up and getting rid of all the drama that goes on between teenagers in high school. Today I realized that the drama doesn't stop. Even with fully grown adults. It goes on and on. With this realization came a new goal to focus on: trying to avoid drama. I'm not going to become a spineless doormat and let people walk all over me, but I'm not going to let myself get caught up in other people's nonsense either.

I try to make friends everywhere
Okay, here's the contradiction: I love being by myself. It's one of my favourite things to do, just chill at home by myself, or go out by myself. I like it when it's quiet. I like having time to think, without someone interrupting me but I love being around people because you don't have to think. Sometimes it's nice not to think about everything. Does that make me like an oxymoron? Introvert but extrovert? Hey hey speaking of introverts and extroverts, do any of my fellow Aussie readers remember Luke O'Dell's song 'Introvert Extrovert'? He sung it on the X factor in 2011 and dear god it was hilarious, but the worst part was that it was actually a pretty catchy little tune. Give it a listen here, cause it's too good to miss ;)

This is my pretty little home town. |
On a lighter note, today I made the most delicious cake, ugh. It's pretty damn yummy. My friend and I spent ages making it, and it took like 2 hours to cook. Really unhealthy though. I'm trying and trying to write something else but I can't think of anything so I guess I'll just do a little written intro thing.
My name is Mikaela, and this is my blog 'i'm fussy about my friends'. I live in Australia, and I'll turn 16 in October. Right now, it's winter holidays and I've been pretty bored for the first few days. All my friends have been busy or working, and you know me, I'm fussy anyway. To be honest I can't wait to finish school and move away from my home town. It's a beautiful place, and I love it. Nearly all my family is here. But the whole entire world is out there, and let me tell you, my home town is tiny. It's so so small and I'm so excited to meet the people, in the outside world. I get excited just thinking about it but here, have 10 facts about me:
1. I love socks, especially knee highs.
2. I always wanted to have a diary, but I could never write it one regularly.
3. I'm fussy about my friends, yo!
4. I love my cat Samson so much, I have literally never felt that type of love for anyone or anything before.
5. I'm a Libran. Indecisive as anything, just like my mum.
6. I was born the day before my mum's birthday, so sometimes we have joint birthdays.
My family is literally the best in the whole world.
7. I listening to embarrassingly bad music, think along the lines of Aaron Carter and Nikki Webster. Sorry, AC.
8. I just hit 365 friends on Facebook, one for every day of the year?
9. I have two dogs & two cats. I love them all equally, but Samson is like my child.
10. My bedroom is covered with books and plants.
It's 11:40pm and raining. Ah, winter. You're the wettest.
Samson, you are my #1. |
